The Euro 2008 in Switzerland

This year the European football championship is co-hosted by Switzerland and Austria. The tournament will start on June 7th and will end with the final match on June 29th.

After the quarterfinals starting on June 19th, Austria will be the host country. During group matches Zurich, Basel, Geneva and Berne in Switzerland will host matches.

I prepared this guide for those of you who are coming to Geneva for the matches. I am an ex-pat living in Geneva, I wanted to give you the insider tips to enjoy the city and the tournament to the full extent.

Finding an Adress

Type in the street name and number and then the postcode and you can spot whereever you are headed on the map. Good to spot the hotels, restuarants, parking lots as well.

Alışveriş: M-Park

Aslında bir turist için ilginç bir yer değil ama stada çok yakın olduğu için vakit geçirebilirsiniz.

M-Park, Migros Park'ın kısası. Migros (Migro diye okuyorlar) burada bankacılıktan benzinciliğe, hobi kurslarından kayak bakımına her işi yapıyor. Her iş için bir Migros var.

M-Park'ın üst katında 1 tane Migros'a ait açık büfe restoran var. Burada birşeyler atıştırabilirsiniz, yemek yiyebilirsiniz. Tam girişte ise bir sandviççi var, burada da ayaküstü birşeyler atıştırabilirsiniz. Ayrıca bir Cafe ve bir fish&chips'ci de mevcut.

Bunun dışında hepsi Migros'un olan elektronik, ev dekorasyon ve spor mağazaları bulunuyor.

İçerideki Naville şubesinde türkçe gazeteler var. Bir de seyahat acentası var, buna da ihtiyacınız olabilir.

La Praille'i arkanıza alıp dümdüz yürürseniz 3 dakika sonra M-Park'a ulaşabilirsiniz. 3 saate kadar arabanızı park edebileceğiniz otopark da işinize yarayabilir ama Macaron koymayı unutmayın.
